Alex Stone

Alex Stone, Co-Founder of Echelon Protective Services, is a resilient individual whose journey from experiencing houselessness as a youth to becoming a dedicated community leader is nothing short of inspiring. Emerging from a challenging period of over two years living in his vehicle near Yeon Ave post-military transition, Alex also sought refuge in various shelters, including the Star of Hope in Houston, TX, during his youth and early adulthood. Having walked through adversity, Alex Stone turned his life around and committed himself to making a positive impact. His extensive experience includes years of service with Harbor Houston and Mission Houston, where he actively engaged with houseless and drug-addicted street youth, offering support and guidance. Today, Alex stands as a respected community figure, channeling his passion into serving on nonprofit boards. Currently, he contributes to the Public Safety Action Coalition (PSAC – Portland), Oregon’s Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, Private Security Board (PSIPC), The Professional Security Association of Oregon, and The Benevolent Order of Protective and Investigative Professionals (BOPIP). Additionally, Alex is deeply involved with Loving One Another, a nonprofit dedicated to personal and community transformation through their platform at loapdx.org.
